These are records involving serial stalking and computer hacking which appear evident at or near the FSU Campus in Tallahassee, Fl as noted in 2003/2004 This type of activity is typical of most major College and Universities. Compared to other facilities the threats here appear very nominal or minor.

10-2003: The village idiot is apparently hanging an advertistment on my computer terminal that I am under investigation; placing website blocks on my research; and doing some damage to my computer disc. The Tallahassee Freenet staff later explains their network staff died and another moved to Jacksonville, Fl-so maybe we are seeing symptoms of broken computer network.

Apparently made it's way into the the Goldstein LibraryGoldstein Computer Lab at FSU in October, 2003 and was eliminated by the help desk a short time later. It is believed the computer lab techs are updating their virus definitions on a more regular basis.

In Janurary 2003 3 lab techs from the Goldstein Library sat in the library computer room and hacked the website of one of their colleagues and went on for about 20 minutes explaining to everone in the room what they were doing. I really enjoyied the part where they had the poor soul on camera watching him teach and at the same time hacking his website. Wheather the lab tech actually had the password to his bank account or not is hard to say. These were really having a good time.

This non solicited email concerns an alleged virus at email certvolunteer@yahoo.com which according to the sender has generated an email to someone I can't recall ever having heard of. The Virus W32.Novarg.A@mm is used apparently primarily by a 3rd party to seize email accounts-which we could assume someone had gained temporary control of this email account.


Symantec Security describes the virus W32.Mydoom.A@mm (also known as W32.Novarg.A) is a mass-mailing worm that arrives as an attachment with the file extension .bat, .cmd, .exe, .pif, .scr, or .zip. When a computer is infected, the worm sets up a backdoor into the system by opening TCP ports 3127 through 3198, which can potentially allow an attacker to connect to the computer and use it as a proxy to gain access to its network resources. In addition, the backdoor can download and execute arbitrary files. There is a 25% chance that a computer infected by the worm will perform a Denial of Service (DoS) on February 1, 2004 starting at 16:09:18 UTC, which is also the same as 08:09:18 PST, based on the machine's local system date/time. If the worm does start the DoS attack, it will not mass mail itself. It also has a trigger date to stop spreading/DoS-attacking on February 12, 2004. While the worm will stop on February 12, 2004, the backdoor component will continue to function after this date.
